A Teddy Bear Picnic

We had another mommy and toddler outing. This time, the theme was a teddy bear picnic.

We decided to meet at a park and bring our own picnic lunch. It was also a BYOB event (bring your own bear).

First, we gathered on a blanket with our bears for some teddy bear stories. Although it was early September, there was already a chill in the air, so we’re all wearing long sleeves. That’s part of being on the prairies, I suppose.

These are the stories we read:

They are both terribly cute, especially the one called “Where’s my Teddy?” You should find it at your library and read it together with your child, it’s quite fun.

Next, we had our picnic lunch.

My sister-in-law made these adorable teddy bear cookies to share for dessert, aren’t they cute?

Afterwards, the kids got to play on the playground while us moms visited. It was a simple, but fun afternoon for us all.
